[00:00:00.0]
Here let's build a basic presentation - you can follow along with the lesson files.
[00:00:07.0]
I'm going to choose a clean slate here for the first slide, and open up the lesson folder.
[00:00:15.0]
And we have some .rtf files (which are text files), and we are going to drag out Slide1.rtf to the canvas.
[00:00:25.0]
It comes in unformatted and very bland.
[00:00:28.0]
I'll position it to the center of my canvas, and I'll select the type and I'll bring out the fonts.
[00:00:35.0]
Now, I could pick and choose a favorite here, or I can pick and choose the font that I'm presently using.
[00:00:43.0]
How do you make a favorite?
[00:00:45.0]
Well first allow me to resize it to a size that I like, then choose Favorites, then from the pull-down menu you can add, add to favorites.
[00:00:57.0]
Now, if we go into favorites, you'll see that Helvetica is now stored in there.
[00:01:02.0]
And I can use this on the fly.
[00:01:03.0]
I'll just go ahead and position this up a little bit.
[00:01:06.0]
I'm going to add a new slide.
[00:01:09.0]
It's also blank as you can see.
[00:01:12.0]
I'll open up the lesson folder again and drag out Slide2.rtf.
[00:01:18.0]
Drag it out and drop it, and you can import graphics the same way.
[00:01:23.0]
Choose the font palette again, and all I got to do is click my favorite and it resizes.
[00:01:30.0]
I'm going to add a third slide that's blank.
[00:01:34.0]
And now from here, I can drag out Slide3 text file, the .rtf, and drag that out.
[00:01:47.0]
That's a rich text format, and I could also choose the font again and apply the favorite.
[00:01:53.0]
Beautiful! Look at that.
[00:01:57.0]
Now, we have Slide1, we could just position that.
[00:02:01.0]
Let's open our color palette and work with some colors here.
[00:02:04.0]
I'm going to select the headline - I going to drag a red off into it.
[00:02:09.0]
I'm going to select an orange. I can drag the color to the bottom of my palette, and that's the red I'm going to use later.
[00:02:18.0]
Now, I have to select the text, and of course choose a color - orange.
[00:02:24.0]
We'll drag it to the bottom of the color well, and you can drag it and drop it on the text.
[00:02:29.0]
Let's repeat the process.
[00:02:32.0]
From the color well, drag that red to the title - it may color everything but that's ok.
[00:02:39.0]
Then we have to select the text for taxes, gross, and income.
[00:02:43.0]
And of course, drag orange to that text, and repeat the process for slide3.
[00:02:51.0]
Choose slide3, drag red to the title, select the text, and drag and drop your orange from the color well.
[00:03:05.0]
And now we could run the slide show from the first slide, click play and this is the official slide now.
[00:03:15.0]
[00:03:18.0]
play and this is the official slide now.
